Kathryn Stockett’s new novel The Calamity Club is coming in Spring 2026!
Spiegel & Grau is excited to announce Kathryn Stockett’s long-awaited new novel, The Calamity Club! This is Stockett’s first novel since the #1 bestselling phenomenon The Help, which has sold over 15 million copies.
Set in Oxford, Mississippi, in 1933, The Calamity Club tells the story of a group of women—some socialites, a few criminals—whose fates converge as the summer turns to fall and the hard times of the Depression tighten their grip.

Spiegel & Grau co-hosted an author/bookseller dinner with Grove Atlantic and a crafting event with Feminist Press for first-time bookseller attendees, and offered signed copies of their books, and more.

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of our beloved author Melody Beattie, whose work has helped millions of people transform their lives.
